What is Point Of Sale (POS)?

Like most, I am often asked what I do for a living. Upon explaining that I work in POS it is pretty standard to be faced with looks of confused intrigue, with the common question always being, what is POS?

POS or ‘Point of Sale’ is a form of marketing, typically display stands that brands use to promote their products in a retail environment.

Display stands are an effective way of grabbing the customer’s attention in store when faced with multiple options of the same product. They provide brands with the opportunity to increase the level of in store engagement with new product launches, event sponsorships or simply entice purchase with a promotional price.

Sounds simple! Well, despite our mantra at Display being ‘Maximum impact with minimum fuss’ the art of impactful POS takes experience, ingenuity and creativity. Thankfully, you are in the right place.

From Free Standing Display Units (FSDUs) to Retail theatre, we at Display can give you the tools you need to create outstanding POS for your products. We invest heavily in understanding shopper behaviours and apply these insights all the way through the design process, from concept visual to finished display.

Head over to the ‘Awards’ page for some brilliant examples of cool POS Displays that we have created for our customers. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information on how we can support your brand.
