Creating a Christmas Pop-Up shop in Ireland's most prestigious department store
Arnotts approached us to put a pop-up shop in their store and offered us space for a one-month promotion running up to 23 December. As it was the Christmas period, Arnotts wanted us to provide a customer selection box experience, where customers could fill a selection box with their chosen items.
We approached Display Ireland (a part of the Smurfit Kappa Group), who specialise in temporary corrugated displays. After meeting with the team and seeing what they could offer, we decided to ask them to manage the project. This was for concept design and high-quality 3D visualisation right the way through to production and installation of the pop-up shop.
To design a custom pop-up shop to fit within the Arnotts A-site guidelines. It needed to be finished to a very high quality, create in-store stand out and draw shoppers’ attention.
The design team gave us some initial concepts. We made a few tweaks and they presented some revised options. While we liked all of these, one really stood out.
Once we decided on the structural design we moved on to the artwork. We worked closely with Display Ireland and Arnotts to get this exactly right.
Then it was time for production. We were invited to see the final sample for the quality control stage. This meant we could see the full final pop-up shop assembled in Display Ireland before it was packed up to be installed in Arnotts.
The team built and installed the pop-up shop quickly and efficiently on the evening of 22 November. It was finished and ready for when the store opened the next morning, and exceeded our expectations.
